Good Bye to 2008; Hello to 2009

2008 was an eventful year.  Of course everyone looks at the world events of this last year and can say the same thing.  For us it was personally eventful. Yet through out the year we were especially aware of God's provision.

One of the things that we learned was that God cares for us no matter what the circumstances.  It has been our experience that when things go poorly we begin to think more about God and how he cares.  But we have made a point of noting his provision and care in good times too.

Our desire for 2009 is that we will be even more aware of God's provision and care in the coming year.  We desire to see the Gospel in all areas of our lives.

The coming and passing each year, we are reminded with each passing second which is counted down every New Years Eve is dependent on the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! Whether it be the middle of July or not, we measure our time in accordance with His birth and arrival and what a time of fellowship with our fellow man that can be.
I do not much care for making resolutions as much as a strengthening of resolve for the coming year in which I pay that God's Will be done in our lives that have chosen Him as our own personal Lord and Savior.

I was telling Scott this same thing the other day. I was mentioning to him how I am able to look back on this whole past decade and see how the Lord has worked in my life. God truly IS good all the time...through all things.
